Earthquake felt in Tri-Cities

Updated:
As if this weeks snow wasn't enough to rattle the southeast, a report of an earthquake in South Carolina was felt throughout several states, including here in the Tri-Cities.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey the M4.1 quake hit 10:23 Friday night. The epicenter of the earthquake was 7 miles away from Edgefield, South Carolina. That's more than 200 miles away from Johnson City, but many of you on our Facebook page said you could feel it here in Johnson City to Kingsport and Buff City to Lebanon, Virginia.

If you felt the shake, you can report it right here: http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/eventpage/usc000mr27#dyfi_form

There has not been any reports of damage at this time.
