A son and his father left an enormous note in the snow on Saturday so his mom could see it from her hospital window.
On top of a parking garage, Will Hart, 14, and his dad Tim stomped through the snow creating a message that read, "HI MOM GOD BLESS U."
Hart's mom, Sharon, was recently hospitalized for acute leukemia at Chicago's Rush University Medical Center, ABC News reports.
Originally the note just read "HI MOM," but Hart's dad decided to add "GOD BLESS YOU ALL," aiming to brighten other residents of the hospital as well. Running out of room, the two settled on "GOD BLESS U."
Being visible from the top six floors, the note has cheered more than just his mother. Hundreds of staff members and patients have been touched by the message.
"It brought so many smiles to our doctors and nurses – and patients as well," Deb Song, a hospital spokeswoman, told ABC News.
Since Saturday, the picture has gone viral and the family is overwhelmed by the public's response.
"We're going crazy," Hannah Hart, Hart's older sister said. "We could never imagine that something my brother did for my mom would grow to be this huge."
