15 injured in explosion at New Hampshire facility

PETERBOROUGH, New Hampshire -

At least 15 people were injured in an explosion at a New Hampshire facility Monday afternoon.

More than 100 firefighters responded to the incident, which occurred at New Hampshire Ball Bearings around 3:30 p.m., WMUR-TV reported.

According to Peterborough police, the explosion occurred on the plant's first floor, blowing out windows.

The cause of the explosion remains unknown.

According to the company's Web site, New Hampshire Ball Bearings is a "leading manufacturer of precision bearings," and operates three manufacturing facilities in the United States and employees more than 1,500 workers.
