Preds get blasted in 3rd, lose 5-2 to Anaheim

ANAHEIM, Calif. -

In their final game before the Olympic break, the Nashville Predators had high hopes of being just a game out of the playoffs.

After taking the lead in the first period on a Viktor Stalberg goal, the Preds gave up the lead when Roman Josi accidentally hit a puck into their own net.

The Ducks took the lead in the second period before Mike Fisher evened things up in the 3rd with his 16th goal of the season.

After the game was tied, the Preds lost all control as the Ducks scored three goals to make it a lopsided defeat for Nashville 5-2.

The Preds are off for 19 days before hosting the Tampa Bay Lightning at Bridgestone Arena on February 27.
