Pfunky Griddle shows customer appreciation with free pancake day

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A Berry Hill restaurant finally got to show its customers how much they are appreciated.

Pfunky Griddle located on Bransford Avenue began using social media last September and promised fans a free Pancake Day when they reached 1,500 likes.

That goal was reached and the free Pancake Day was scheduled for early January, but no thanks to winter weather, the Pfunky Griddle had to reschedule.

"We had it in early January, and weather and Mother Nature and Murphy's law kinda doomed us, and we had about two hours of free pancakes so [Thursday] was our 'do over'," said Monica van Landingham, who does social media for the company.

The bad weather caused structural problems with the restaurant's building, so they need to close down to make repairs.

The unique restaurant, which lets customers cook their own pancakes, is open Tuesday through Sunday for breakfast and lunch.

They also offer health options such as gluten-free and vegan pancakes.

Check out the Pfunky Griddle on their Facebook page.
