Predators fall in overtime in Minnesota 3-2

ST. PAUL, Minn. -

It took overtime but the Minnesota Wild won their fifth straight home game beating the Nashville Predators 3-2.

Nino Niederreiter's goal with 2:44 left in overtime was the game winner.

Craig Smith scored both goals for Nashville tying the game at 1-1 and then 2-2.  Smith leads the Predators with 18 goals this season.

Carter Hutton had 33 saves for the Predators in the loss.

Nashville plays Anaheim Saturday night before taking off for the Olympic break.
