City leaders in Springfield and Greenbrier announced Friday the water filtration system is functioning at 100 percent following an issue Thursday.
Customers were warned to cut back and conserve water after authorities discovered an unknown contaminant in the Red River, which sources water to residents.
Initially, only 40 to 50 percent of the water was being filtered before entering homes.
The director of the Springfield water department said the situation was not considered an emergency, but could have been had the issue not been resolved.
As of Friday morning, the restrictions for water customers were lifted.
Officials, however, said it is best to conserve use through the weekend when possible.
