Pedestrian struck, killed on I-24 in Clarksville

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -

A 23-year-old Alabama man was struck and killed on Interstate 24 in Clarksville late Sunday night.

Tyler Wilsdorf was hit in the eastbound lanes of I-24 at mile marker 6, not far from Wilma Rudolph Boulevard, around 11:45 p.m.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Wilsdorf was a passenger in a car that got stuck in the median.  He got out of the car in an attempt to flag down help and was hit.

Wilsdorf died on the scene.

Neither the driver who hit Wilsdorf nor his three passengers were injured.

No charges were filed.

I-24 East was closed for almost three hours while officers investigated.  The interstate has since reopened.
