A young woman died in a wreck on Interstate 40 in Wilson County Sunday morning.
Charity Williams, 25, was killed when her vehicle hydroplaned across the median on I-40 in Lebanon around 7:55 a.m.
Williams, of Brush Creek, Tenn., was dead when officers arrived to the scene.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol reported Williams' Nissan Altima was heading westbound when it crossed the median and struck a garbage truck nearly head-on in the eastbound lanes.
The other driver, 38-year-old Shanon Brown of Atlanta, was injured in the crash. His condition was not immediately known.
Officers reported Williams was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Brown, however, was wearing safety restraints.
