NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Gregg Williams will be reunited with Jeff Fisher as the St. Louis Rams new defensive coordinator, league sources told ESPN.

Williams spent the 2013 season as the Titan's senior assistant defensive coach.

He was previously involved in the 2012 Bountygate scandal with the New Orleans Saints and was suspended indefinitely due to his involvement.

Prior to his suspension, Fisher hired Williams as the Ram's defensive coordinator. William's was reinstated by the NFL in 2013 and later became the Titans senior assistant defensive coach.

Williams served with Fisher as the Titans defensive coordinator during the Super Bowl XXXIV loss to the Rams.

He will be replacing Tim Walton, who served as the Ram's defensive coordinator for one year.
