NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A man was arrested at his home in Antioch Tuesday after authorities executed a search warrant in connection to the online sharing of child porn.

Detectives began their investigation into Billy Hurlbut, 38, last November when the IP address of his personal computer was allegedly being used to share child pornography for other users to download via BitTorrent, a peer-to-peer file sharing Web site.

According to police, Hurlbut lives alone in the 400 block of Arbor Crest Boulevard and was present at the time of the search.

He reportedly admitted to using his home computer to access the Internet and search for as well as exchange sexual images and videos of minors through BitTorrent.

Police stated Hurlbut also admitted to possessing a large amount of child pornography and that his preferential age of children is between eight and 12 years old.

He added he has struggled his entire adult life with a sexual attraction to young minor females.

Detectives located over 300 files inside a folder titled "Stuff" on Hurlbut's desktop computer, over 100 of which were sexual images and videos of minors engaged in various sexual positions and acts.

He was charged with sexual exploitation of a minor and aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor.

Hurlbut is being held at the Metro jail on $80,000 bond.
