Teen burglary suspect arrested after crashing stolen car

A 17-year-old burglary suspect was arrested Tuesday after he crashed a stolen car.

Police said the minor fled after he was spotted inside a unit at the Lakeside Apartments located in the 3900 block of Bell Road.

Minutes later, police reported the teenager crashed a Honda, which was reported stolen earlier this month, near the apartment complex's entrance.

The teen was taken into custody following a short foot pursuit.

He is charged in juvenile court with aggravated burglary, two counts of attempted aggravated burglary, leaving the scene of an accident, evading arrest, vehicle theft and theft of property.
