HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. -

Hendersonville police remain on the lookout for two dangerous suspects they believe are responsible for an overnight shooting.

Authorities first received a call regarding the shooting at the Monthaven Park Apartments around 2:30 a.m. just off Vietnam Veterans Boulevard.

At least one shot was fired into the presumed victim's light brown van, which was located in the parking lot of the apartment complex.

The victim told police he turned on his car to warm it up, went back inside, and was confronted by two black males when he returned.

The suspects reportedly said something to the victim before firing at least two shots.

The vehicle was being processed for evidence.  No one was injured.

Police said two men fled the area on foot.

Both men are wearing dark hooded sweatshirts.  One is wearing a red stocking cap and at least one is carrying a gun.

They were initially looking at a white sedan that has since been cleared of connection to the crime.

Police told News 2 this kind of incident is rare in Hendersonville and they urge anyone who might have information on the suspects or crime to contact them at 615-822-1111.
