One man was placed in custody and another remains at large after police say they attempted to break into a west Nashville home late Monday night.
Residents in the 4000 block of Dakota Avenue in the Sylvan Heights neighborhood woke up to glass shattering around 11:15 p.m.
Two men had broken a window attempting to gain entry. The residents called police, who were nearby and able to respond quickly.
Officers witnessed the men running and deployed K9s in the area.
One suspect was captured in the 3600 block of Redmon Street, but the second got away.
The identities of the suspects were not yet released.
