KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Three people were taken to the hospital on Monday evening after the car they were riding in crashed into a South Knoxville home.

Police say the daughter of the owner of a Saturn SC2 used the vehicle to go to work Monday at a business on Chapman Highway. During her shift, a fellow employee took the vehicle without consent.

Shortly after taking it, police say the car left the road, flipped over, and hit a house at 430 Mimosa Avenue.

Police say it's believed there were four people in the car at the time of the crash, but only three were at the scene of the accident upon officers' arrival.

The three victims at the scene were taken to UT Medical Center. They are expected to be okay.

While the car sustained major damage, police say the damage to the house was minor.

The driver of the vehicle at the time of the crash, Jackson Martin, 18, may face charges as the investigation continues.
