NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

An elderly woman was found dead at a senior living facility in Madison and police are investigating whether foul play was involved.

An employee at Windlands East senior living home on East Webster Street found Mary Lou Shy, 76, dead just after 11 p.m. Thursday.

She was found lying on the floor of her apartment and is believed to have died from head trauma.

As part of their investigation, detectives want to speak with Shy's son, William Aldridge, Jr., to see if he can provide additional information on the circumstances leading up to his mother's death.

Attempts to contact Aldridge, 48, have been unsuccessful.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Metro police at 615-862-8600.

The classification of Shy's death is pending the outcome of the investigation.
