Man stopped for blown headlight, arrested for robbery
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
On Friday morning police stopped a red Pontiac Grand Am for having a blown headlight.
When stopped, 22-year-old Keith Boone was wearing a gray and black Oakland Raiders cap, which the officer recalled was similar to the one in the description of the suspect involved in Thursday night's convenience store robbery.
Detectives responded to the scene and recovered a nine millimeter semi-automatic pistol after searching the car.
Boone acknowledged that he robbed the Buy and Save Market, located at 201 Glenrose Avenue, at 9:25 p.m. Thursday night and that the cash on his person was part of the take.
He was convicted of facilitating aggravated robbery in January 2013 and received a three-year probated sentence.
Boone was jailed in lieu of $130,000 bond on charges that he robbed the Buy and Save.
He is also charged with the unlawful possession a semi-automatic pistol.
