Police arrested a man exactly one month after he robbed a convenience store during a routine traffic stop on Thursday.
Officers pulled over a vehicle just after 8 p.m. after noticing its tags were not in the system.
The driver of the car had a learner's permit, but the passenger, Felipo Bernal, did not have his driver's license with him.
When officers asked for Bernal's name and date of birth, he reportedly told them his name was George Lopez and he was born on September 11, 1987.
According to an affidavit obtained by Nashville's News 2, police said Bernal seemed very nervous and reluctant during the traffic stop.
Due to the suspicion that Bernal was lying, police took his fingerprints at his permission.
It was then that police discovered his real name of Felipo Marcos Bernal.
Officers then determined Bernal had an outstanding warrant for his arrest after allegedly robbing the El Camino Market on Morrow Road.
According to police, Bernal robbed the market on December 23.
Reports say he entered the market with a handgun and demanded money from the cash register. He also took a money bag from the man behind the counter.
Bernal reportedly got away with more than $4,000, but has since been charged with aggravated robbery and resisting arrest.
