NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A man was arrested and charged with theft of services after he reportedly told Omni Hotel staff he was the victim of a house fire and insurance was paying for his stay.

A staff member called police on Wednesday around 7:45 p.m. when they could not confirm that All-State Insurance was paying for 33-year-old Adrian Walker's room.

The person said they told Walker they needed a credit card while confirmation from All-State was pending, but he gave them a debit card linked to an account with -$6 in it.

Responding officers located Walker and, according to a report, he gave them someone else's name, address and date of birth.

Soon after, staff located Walker's real social security number in his room.

Staff also told police he had incurred over $1,000 in charges since he checked into the hotel.

Walker was arrested and charged with theft of services and criminal impersonation.

He was booked into the Metro jail on $4,500 bond.
