An Oklahoma man was arrested on multiple charges after police say he was found intoxicated riding a horse with a child he didn't know.KOTV reports Dennis Byers took the child for a ride on the horse, got drunk, then didn't know where to return the child on Monday.Police said Byers met with a man who wanted to buy the horse for his three-year-old son.Byers took the boy on a ride with the father following closely behind. The father, however, got a work-related phone call and stopped following the pair.Four or five hours later, police were notified by a caller that a drunk man was riding around on a horse with a small child.Byers had been knocking on doors, asking if anyone knew who the three-year-old was. Authorities reported he was trying to leave the child at various houses and did not know where the child belonged.Once police arrived, they said Byers had blood shot eyes, slurred speech, trouble standing and investigators could smell alcohol on his breath.Detectives eventually located the child's father, but placed the boy in DHS custody as investigators determine if his home is a safe place for him to live.Byers was booked into the Tulsa County jail on public intoxication and child endangerment charges. His bond was set at $50,100.*KOTV contributed to this report.
