COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -

A man broke into Lowe's in Cookeville before passing out inside early Saturday morning.

According to The Herald Citizen, officers responded to the store around 4:15 a.m. after being alerted by an alarm.

Police reported the lumber yard door appeared to be forced open and they could see a white male sitting on the floor slumped over.

The man, later identified as Dustin Renfroe, appeared to be passed out upon contact.

Once Renfroe, 22, came to, police said he had slurred and incoherent speech, was unsteady on his feet, and had dilated pupils.

Surveillance later showed Renfroe walking onto Lowe's property and kicking the door then prying it open.  He then wandered to the spot where officers found him and passed out.

Renfroe was charged with public intoxication, criminal trespassing and vandalism for damage caused to the store's door.
