The Denver Broncos are going to the Super Bowl after a 26-16 win over the New England Patriots.

A 1-yard touchdown pass from Peyton Manning put the Broncos up 10-0 midway through the second quarter.

At the end of the first half, the Broncos headed to the locker room with the 13-3 lead and the ball the start the second.

Not wasting any time, Manning capped an 90-yard drive with a touchdown pass to Damaryius Thomas  to give Denver a 17 point lead.

Denver (15-3) is going to its first Super Bowl in 15 years behind a 400 yard performance from Manning.

Less than three years removed from multiple neck surgeries, Manning is now 2-1 in AFC title games and improves to 5-10 all-time against Tom Brady.

The Patriots (13-5) managed just 64 yards on the ground and were held to just 16 in the first half despite averaging over 200 yards in the past three games.

Brady threw for 277 yards, though most of those came from the Patriots fourth quarter comeback attempt.

Super Bowl XLVIII will take place at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. on Feb. 2.  The Broncos will play Seattle Seahawks.
