1 arrested after truck crashes into childcare facility

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -

Police have arrested a man and searching for two others following at crash at a Clarksville childcare facility Friday night.

A truck crashed into a building at the Youth Academy of Clarksville on Professional Park Drive around 11 p.m.

Witnesses reported the silver 2004 Ford pickup truck abruptly drove into the parking lot, jumped a curb and slammed into the building.

An employee said the truck stopped just 15 feet from where children were inside the building.

Thankfully no one was injured.

Police said Thomas Sexton and two others fled the scene immediately following the crash.

Sexton, 27, was arrested Sunday and charged with leaving the scene of an accident.

The other two suspects remain at large.
