Officials search for car in Cumberland River

Officers responded to the call of a vehicle that had supposedly been driven off the boat ramp into the Cumberland River near Cleece's Ferry on Saturday.

Crews were sent to Old Hickory Boulevard and Ashland City Highway around 6:30 p.m.

Officers requested OEM to send a boat to search the river where they utilized sonar equipment, but no vehicle was located.

According to police, there was a person arrested near the scene on an unrelated outstanding warrant.

No other details were immediately released, the investigation remains ongoing.
