Kroger makes changes to senior discount

Posted: Updated:
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Kroger is changing its senior discount program.

Beginning next month, the grocery store chain will hold senior discount day every Wednesday as opposed to one Wednesday a month.

The frequency, however, will also affect the discount amount.

The current discount for seniors is 10%, but since the discount will be offered more often, it will be dropping to 5%.

Seniors will still save 10% on Wednesday, February 5, however, every Wednesday after that the discount will be 5%.

To receive the discount, shoppers must be over the age of 60 and enrolled in Kroger's Senior Rewards Club.
