NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Reports of black ice are coming in Friday morning from various areas in Middle Tennessee.

Overnight precipitation has frozen over on roadways.

A female driver slid on black ice on Saundersville Road in Hermitage just before 6 a.m., causing her vehicle to strike a utility pole, breaking it half.

Several other vehicles slide off the same road about four miles away in Wilson County.

Mt. Juliet police reported many roadways in the area are slick, especially those less travelled.  One of the roads mentioned on their Twitter account was North Green Hill.

Motorists in Hendersonville are also reporting many roadways have black ice.

Those who expect to be driving Friday morning are urged to do with caution.
