Traffic stop leads to arrest of 2 accused felons

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A routine traffic stop Monday morning led to the arrest of two accused felons.

Officers stopped a 2005 Chevrolet Impala for having an improperly mounted and altered temp tags around 1:15 a.m. at the intersection of Hillside and Argyle avenues.

Upon approaching the vehicle, police noticed an obvious smell of marijuana and located two pistols.

Deanthony Fletcher, 19, and Tevron Brittian, 21, were both taken into custody.

At the time of his arrest, Fletcher was wanted for his involvement in a shooting that occurred last November. He was booked on attempted murder, marijuana possess and unlawful gun possession.

Brittain is charged with felony gun possession, marijuana possession and altering a license tag.
