Store employee finds, turns in shopper's lost $100 bill
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
A Donelson Kroger employee turned in a $100 bill that a shopper recently lost while shopping.
Chuck Matheny said he accidentally dropped the bill as he was walking back inside the store to pay for two cases of water that were left underneath his shopping cart.
Upon realizing the error, Matheny said he called the store immediately, hoping someone had turned in the money.
"I called Kroger on the slim chance that somebody had turned it in," he said. "I found out that somebody had actually turned the money in and I was really surprised and really glad there are some great people in our community."
Matheny said he was so appreciative to the store employee who turned in the money he rewarded her with a gift card.
