Pleasant View police chief arrested for public intoxication

PLEASANT VIEW, Tenn. -

A Robertson County police chief has been arrested for public intoxication.

Michael Douglas, 42, was arrested by Springfield police on Saturday night at an Applebee's restaurant.

Douglas serves as the police chief for the city of Pleasant View.

He was charged with public intoxication and resisting arrest.

Douglas was booked into the Robertson County jail and was later released on $1,000 bond.
