2 arrested after fleeing shooting, crashing into apartment complex

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -

Two men were arrested in connection to a shooting and crash Friday morning in Clarksville.

Our news partner Clarksville Now reported Deandre Lisenbee, 19, and Dekwon Elleby, 21, fled the BP gas station at 648 Lafayette Road following a shooting around 8:45 a.m.

One victim was shot.  Their condition was not immediately released.

Witnesses on the scene gave police a detailed description of the getaway vehicle, a black Chevrolet Impala.

Clarksville police tracked the car to Pageant Lane in Summit Heights where a brief pursuit occurred before the suspects had crashed into an apartment building.

Both Lisenbee and Elleby were taken into custody.

Lisenbee was charged with criminal responsibility for facilitation of felon and felony evading arrest.

Elleby was charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and felon in possession of a firearm.

The investigation is ongoing.  Authorities reported more charges are pending against both men.

Moore Magnet, Norman Smith Elementary, Northwest High, and CMCSS Central Office were on lockdown for about 10 minutes after law enforcement notified them of the situation around 9:20 a.m.
