Light sleet falls across Middle Tennessee

Posted: Updated:
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Light sleet is falling across parts of Middle Tennessee Thursday morning.

Temperatures were in the low 30s at daybreak, so a few slick spots are possible, primarily to the west of Interstate 65 where the precipitation was slightly heavier.

Light sleet around Nashville and the I-65 corridor is not expected to cause major problems during the morning commute, and should change to light rain as temperatures climb to the middle 30s by mid-morning.

Occasional showers are possible Thursday throughout the day and alter tonight.

Afternoon temperatures will climb to the low 40s, but reach the middle 50s on Friday as a south breeze picks up strength.
