Woman arrested for Fairview man's shooting death

FAIRVIEW, Tenn. -

A woman accused of shooting a Fairview man overnight has been taken into police custody.

Kimberly Matthews was arrested Thursday morning after Williamson County authorities responded to a 911 at a home on Walker Road just before Midnight.

Upon their arrival, deputies discovered 62-year-old James Ferguson shot to death inside the residence.

Matthews is charged with second degree murder and is being held on a $750,000 bond. She is scheduled to appear in court on January 23.

A motive was not immediately released.

The shooting remains under investigation.
