Dozens of residents in the Gulch are mopping up and moving out after frozen pipes burst, leaving water dripping into several apartments. Multiple floors in the Pine Street Flats building were affected by the water, which started leaking into apartment homes Tuesday night. Some residents told News 2 they got out of their leases and were not planning on returning after the mess was cleaned up. Many apartments will have to receive substantial remodeling before residents can move back in. The residents there are not alone. Thousands of people across the state are mopping up their homes after frozen pipes burst. Plumbers in the Nashville area say they're working up to 16 hour days to fix pipes that had been cracked.
