COLUMBIA, Tenn. -

A possible serial robber is behind bars with the assistance of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Courtney Secrest, 31, of Columbia, was arrested Friday on four counts of aggravated robbery.

He was charged with robbing the Regions bank in Columbia last month on Carmack Boulevard.

Secrest has a long criminal history including drug and robbery convictions.  He was currently on parole for the armed robbery of the former Log Cabin Convenience Store on Carmack Boulevard in 2004.

He repotedly admitted to robbing the bank as well as a string of other armed robberies at convenience stores in 2013.

Investigators said they are continuing to work with the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force, who will present the facts of the case to the US Attorney's Office for consideration of obtaining federal charges against Secrest for the bank robbery.

He is currently being held in the Maury County jail without bond.
