The Brides Against Breast Cancer Nationwide Tour of Gowns is back in Nashville this weekend.

One thousand dresses were unloaded from a big pink truck Friday in preparation for the charity gown sale Saturday at the Sheraton Music City Hotel.

The designer gowns are deeply discounted from 25% to 85%, making the average dress price $600.00.

"The gowns are beautiful," said Show Manager Kelsey Anderson. "They range from sizes two to 24 (and are priced from) $99 to $3,500. They have every shape, style, and size. All of the modern trends, designers, colors. All of the exquisite detail they're looking for, so it's a great place to find something different."

The dresses are donated by former brides across the country to support Brides Against Breast Cancer, an organization that helps fund free programs and services for cancer patients and their families.

"Every $58 raised provides one hour of free support. At 80 cents on the dollar, totaling $2 million plus a year, goes to provide these services," Anderson said. "So the brides feel like it's a great way to give back, and at the same time, they're happy walking out with their gown."

The sale in Nashville is Saturday, January 4, at Sheraton Music City Hotel at 777 McGavock Pike from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Tour of Gowns is scheduled to make 120 stops throughout the year, including several in and around middle Tennessee.
