NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

An action-packed show that mixes racing and showmanship will hit the Bridgestone Arena Friday and Saturday night.

Monster Jam is in town to take over the arena with monster trucks set to compete in several areas, including wheelies, hitting obstacles in the track and a variety of tricks.

One of the most recognizable monster trucks is named Grave Digger.  Developed in the 80s, "Digger" has won four Monster Jam World Finals championships.

Carl Van Horn, Digger's driver, said the track inside the arena is a new hybrid track they're unveiling here in Nashville.

The drivers will start with a sky wheelie, a trick in which they aim to get their trucks as vertical as possible.

"Then we have a racing segment where we race each other, two at a time, until we get to the finals. Fastest two compete and then you have a winner," Van Horn added.

Following the race, the drivers all take part in the fans' favorite segment: freestyle.

"We come out with our Monster Jam trucks and just tear it up. We go big; do doughnuts, wheelies, big air, whatever we can do," Van Horn said.

He added trucks can get up to 40 feet in the air.

Before the show, fans can come to the middle of the arena for the Party in the Pit, where they can interact with some of the drivers and take photographs with the trucks.
