SMYRNA, Tenn. -

Two drivers face DUI charges following a pursuit that ended in a two-car crash late Tuesday night.

The chase began on South Church Street after troopers noticed a woman traveling 20 miles over the posted speed limit.

Police continued to pursue the woman, whose identity was not immediately released, to Almaville Road in Smyrna where the driver was involved in a crash.

Authorities said the wanted driver ran off the road, before overcorrecting and striking another vehicle head-on.

The suspect was ejected from her car.

She was airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville with non-life threatening injuries.

Two victims from the second car involved in the crash were also transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.

During their investigation authorities determined both drivers were under the influence.

Both face DUI charges.
