The Tennessee Equality Project is starting a new initiative aimed toward pushing businesses to show support for the state's gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community.

The Associated Press reported the organization's executive director, Christopher Sanders, said the group is giving business owners window stickers to place on their front doors that read "Equality Means Business."

Sanders stated the stickers will show that a company agrees to hire employees and serve the public without regard to sexual orientation or gender identity.

The Tennessee Equality Project is also keeping a list of businesses that support their initiative on their Facebook page.
