CROSS PLAINS, Tenn. -

A woman faces multiple charges after surviving a terrible crash in Robertson County Saturday night.

Smokey Barn News reported Heather Riley of Kentucky lost control of her car just before 8 p.m. in the intersection of Cedar Grove and Old Cedar Grove roads in Cross Plains.

According to authorities, she lost control in the turn, causing her car to flip multiple times and travel over 50 yards through the grass.

Crews had to extricate her from the vehicle.

Riley was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville via ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.

Upon investigation, authorities charged Riley with driving under influence, refusal of implied consent, driving without insurance and not wearing a seatbelt Sunday morning.
