With the arrival of Christmas week, the countdown is on for many people finishing up their Christmas shopping. If you feel like Christmas snuck up on you this year you're not alone, with Thanksgiving falling so late in November, shoppers had six fewer days this year to get everything done."Last week, I was like Christmas is next week…I couldn't feel it coming maybe because it was not that cold or there was not that much snow you know, I just didn't feel it coming," said Florian Dupont. With only three days left until Christmas, shoppers flocked to the Green Hills Mall where cars were lined up in the packed parking deck, but that didn't stop most of the shoppers."I'm so excited, I have like a countdown in my phone and everything, I just can't wait. Christmas is my favorite time of the year," said Anne Marie Rocconi.Marconi traveled from Clarksville to finish up her holiday shopping."I still have to get presents for my mom and sister and everything. I procrastinate, always waiting until the last minute, just trying to fit it all in right now," said Marconi.Martha Snow said her holiday shopping got pushed back until the last minute because of everything else going on."I've got a lot of others things to do between the cooking and the packing and the shipping and buying some extra gifts, but its fun, I like to do it," said Snow.Despite less time for shopping this season, it seems all of the hustle and bustle is just a part of the holiday fun.The Mall at Green Hills opens at 9 a.m. on Monday with most stores closing at 10 p.m., Macy's will remain open until 2 a.m. Monday through Christmas Eve, Toys ‘R' Us and Kohl's will be open around the clock.
