CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -

A soldier was arrested for driving under the influence after causing four wrecks Friday night, damaging a total of five cars.

Nushawn Gaskin, 28, was driving a Chevrolet Camaro on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard just after 5 p.m. when the crashes began.

He first struck a Toyota Tacoma at the intersection of Center Point Drive before turning onto 101st Airborne Division Parkway and striking a Toyota Tundra.

Gaskin then reportedly went back to Wilma Rudolph, driving at high speeds on the shoulder of southbound lanes.

He crashed into a Chrysler van at the intersection of Dunbar Cave Road, continued through the intersection and struck a GMC Sierra.

Gaskin and two others were sent to the hospital.  The conditions of the victims were not immediately released.

Gaskin, however, was booked and charged with driving under the influence.

Authorities reported additional charges are pending.

A former active duty soldier, Gaskin had just been released from Kentucky authorities after serving 90 days there.  He was also recently released by Fort Sill in Oklahoma due to desertion.
