LEBANON, Tenn. -

Less than two days after Lebanon-based Cracker Barrel announced they were going to remove Duck Dynasty merchandise from their shelves, the company changed their decision.

According to ABC News, the Southern country store and restaurant chain received negative backlash from customers and fans that showed support for Phil Robertson, the patriarch of the family starred in A&E's hit TV show, Duck Dynasty.

Robertson, 67, caused quite a stir after a recent interview with GQ Magazine, during which he stated that, in his opinion, homosexual behavior, among other things, is sinful.

Cracker Barrel was the first major retailer to come out with their stance on the controversy after his remarks went public.

They announced last Friday on their Facebook page that they would continue to sell some Duck Dynasty products in stores, but would continue to "evaluate the products we offer."

On Sunday, that decision was reversed.

"When we made the decision to remove and evaluate certain Duck Dynasty items, we offended many of our loyal customers. Our intent was to avoid offending, but that's just what we've done," the company wrote on their Facebook page.

"You flat out told us we were wrong. We listened," it continued.

Robertson's comments received mixed reactions from the show's millions of fans, with politicians and gay rights groups also weighing in on the issue.
