Familiar face beats Predators 4-2 in Tampa

TAMPA, Fla. -

Former Predators goalie Anders Lindback beat his old team for the first time Thursday night in Tampa 4-2.

Lindback had 28 saves for the win. Carter Hutton did not fare as well for Nashville. The NHL's third star last week was pulled after giving up four goals on only 14 shots.

The Lightning led 2-0 after the first period. Nashville pulled within a goal twice in the second period on a pair of power play goals by Craig Smith, his seventh and eighth of the season.

Tampa got goals from Martin St. Louis, Teddy Purcell, Richard Panik and Alex Killorn.

The Predators return to Bridgestone Arena Saturday night to face Montreal.
