Criminal Justice Center back to normal after early morning flooding

Posted: Updated: Dec 17, 2013 11:35 AM CST

Internal flooding slowed the booking process at the Criminal Justice Center in downtown Nashville early Tuesday morning.

A pipe burst around 1:30 a.m. inside the building on 2nd Avenue at James Robertson Parkway.

Officials moved booking operations to a mobile booking unit outside, which slowed things down.

The extent of the damage was not immediately known but old pipes are to blame.

Operations returned to normal late Tuesday afternoon.
