It's been a cold weekend, but as the work week progresses, afternoon high temperatures will stair step upwards each day.
The most recent cold blast made its way all the way to the northern half of The Gulf of Mexico, but the warm air looming in the southern Gulf will be returning northward as a warm front.
We should see 40s Monday, followed by 50s Tuesday and Wednesday, to 60s for the end of the week.
However, a warm up this time of the year could eventually lead to some thunderstorms next weekend.
It's way too early to tell if those might be severe, but it is something we will be watching.
