Family members of the late Bud Adams have decided they are not selling the franchise he founded.

Tommy Smith, the son-in-law of the late Bud Adams and new Titans CEO, made the announcement before kickoff at the Titans versus Arizona Cardinals game on Sunday.

Smith stated he has the pulse of a fan base that is supporting a franchise that will miss the playoffs for the fifth straight year.

"I understand how the fans feel. I feel the same way. I understand they spend hard earned money on this. They have an emotional tie, too, just like the rest of us do," he stated.

"We're going to fix this. I'm not really surprised by what I'm seeing and what I'm hearing, so we know we have our job cut out on many, many fronts and know we have to deliver, so yes, we are very tuned into the fans" Smith continued.

Titans fans now have a better idea of the man in charge of running the team.
