2 injured after SUV slams into sedan in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A multi-vehicle crash sent two people to local hospitals, one with life-threatening injuries, in Nashville Friday evening.

According to police, just after 9:30 p.m. a 50-year-old man pulled across D.B. Todd Boulevard in his Infinity sedan when he was struck by an SUV.

His 44-year-old passenger was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.  She remains in critical condition.

The driver was transported to Saint Thomas Midtown with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the Suburban SUV was not injured.

Police said there are no indications drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.

The accident remains under investigation.
