Martina McBride to launch new label with new album

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Country music superstar Martina McBride is launching a new record label with the release of a new album.

According to The Boot, McBride's upcoming album, titled "Everlasting," will feature 14 classic songs and will be released on her own label in March.

The album was recorded with legendary producer Don Was at Blackbird Studios.

"These songs have beautiful melodies and emotional lyrics, which is basically all you can ask for as a singer," said McBride.

It will feature songs of all genres such as R&B, soul, and rock, with songs like "Do Right Woman, Do Right Man" and "If You Don't Know My By Now."

"While this is a bit of a departure for me song-wise, stylistically I approached these songs the way I always have, which is singing with as much soul and emotion as I possibly can," said McBride.

One song in particular features singer Gavin Degraw in a duet singing Sam Cooke's "Bring it on Home to Me."

"I think my fans will love this record because they are some of the best songs of all time done in a very classic style," said McBride.

"Everlasting" will be released on March 4, 2014.
