Tree decorating ceremony to honor homicide victims

Victims of homicide in Davidson County will be remembered at an annual tree decorating ceremony Thursday night.

Nashville's 19th annual Season to Remember ceremony will be held at 5:45 p.m. at the Children's Garden in Centennial Park.

The event began in 1995 as a way for families of murder victims to remember their loved ones and place a special ornament on a Christmas tree in their honor.

In addition to the ornament event, there will also be a lighting of the Menorah in honor of Hanukkah, and of the Kinara in honor of Kwanza.

District Attorney General Torry Johnson will serve as emcee.
