Driver ejected, seriously injured in Joelton crash

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A 35-year-old man was seriously injured in a crash early Thursday morning in northern Davidson County.

It happened before 7 a.m. on Clarksville Pike between Harper Road and New Hope Road in Joelton.

According to preliminary reports, Brian Woody's pickup truck left the roadway, clipped a guy wire, traveled over a fence and overturned several times.

Woody was ejected and found lying in a field.

Friends told News 2 Woody is married with one child.  He owns a trucking company and lives less than two miles from the crash scene.

He was last seen Wednesday night and friends told News 2 he may have gotten up early to run to store.

Woody was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville with injuries to his head and legs.

He was last listed in critical condition with non life-threatening injuries.
